Created in the Netherlands in the 1990s by Hy-Pro Seeds as "Amnesia", Amnesia Haze goes by many other names. Whether you know her as the original Amnesia, Amnesia Haze, Champagne Haze, The Bomb, Ultra Haze or any other term, we can all agree on the sheer potency of this sativa-dominant strain.
The biggest downside to sativa strains like Amnesia is that they take a long time to flower. About 11-12 weeks on average, although some phenotypes take a whopping 20 weeks. So much for most home growers. In addition, she is quite a tall plant, which is another problem for the indoor grower.
But here comes the Amnesia Haze Automatic in order to solve these problems. With the same euphoric high and sweet and spicy flavor as the original Amnesia, but with a much shorter life cycle and shorter height, this auto strain can be grown by novice and experienced growers alike.
Indoors, it takes about 80-85 days to mature from seed to bud. In this time frame, she can grow quite large for an auto, reaching heights of between 50–100cm. Which is a clear indicator of its sativa genes: tall plants with large, thin leaves and elongated buds.
Like the original Amnesia, Amnesia Haze Automatic grows vigorously and produces generous crops of quality flowers. With yields of up to 180g per plant outdoors and 400g/m² indoors, she is certainly on the more productive end of the autoflowering spectrum. It likes to eat well, but be careful not to over fertilize as Haze varieties are very sensitive to nutrients.
The foxtail-shaped buds of Amnesia Haze Automatic give off an earthy, citrusy aroma that gets even better once it's cured. In short, it offers the classic aroma, taste and effect of Amnesia, but in a much more realistic version for the home grower.
